Due to high enrollment, we will not be accepting any transfer students for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The Department of Exercise Science offers four Bachelor of Science degrees:
The programs offer a common core curriculum addressing the subdisciplines of human anatomy, human physiology, physiology of exercise, and biomechanics predicated on a foundation in the disciplines of biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and psychology.
Students have the opportunity to supplement core courses by electing to follow specialized programs in Athletic Therapy (AT) or Clinical Exercise Physiology (CEP). These programs each contain internship courses.
The instructional labs within the Exercise Science programs accommodate the wide range of courses offered by the department. Within the laboratory environment, students draw connections between the theoretical elements that they learn in the classroom and the practical aspects of technical performance.
With relative small group sizes, the students learn, develop, practice, and refine their skills and gain the confidence necessary to become leaders in their fields. Students also benefit from the ESSA Learning Lab to supplement their studies and network with other students.
